The scale factor of the hatch pattern can be controlled in the same dialog box where the hatch pattern is selected. The brick hatch pattern should now be visible. In the Hatch Pattern Palette, select a brick hatch pattern, such as AR-B816.In the Hatch Pattern dialog box, under Type, select Custom from the drop-down list.On the Hatching tab, click on the hatch pattern for the Surface Hatch display component.On the Layer/Color/Linetype tab, click the lightbulb next to Surface Hatch to turn on visibility.In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Layer/Color/Linetype tab.On the Display Properties tab, make sure that the General Medium Detail display representation is selected (in boldface) and click the Edit Display Properties icon.Under Material Definitions, select Standard.In the Style Manager tree view, expand Multi-Purpose Objects > Material Definitions.On the Format menu, click Style Manager.Draw a standard wall and select a 3D view.To add a brick hatch pattern to a standard wall This material definition should have the hatch pattern visible in model display representation. Hatch patterns can be assigned to material definitions, and each component on a wall style can have a material definition associated with it.
